Coachella 2023

Bet you you'll see far,
Bet you you'll see stars,
Bet you you'll elevate,
Bet you you'll meet God.

Have you heard of Coachella? Have you been? What did you think?

If you don't know Coachella's supposed to be THE music festival of the year, located in Indio, CA and open for two weekends only.

Here was the set-list of the year, I attended Weekend 2.

"**** *** Frank"

Now I've been to music festivals before, Life Is Beautiful in Vegas, Escape in San Bernadino, Camp Flog Gnaw at the Dodgers Stadium. Not to mention countless raves and concerts but this was the "big" one.

After seeing the line-up I wasn't too connected until I saw Frank Ocean's name as a headliner. I'd been trying to see this artist since I first heard his music back in 2010. At this point everyone else was just a bonus.

I wouldn't have gone either lucky for me my family is as crazy as I am, my sister bought her ticket before I did.

Someone say sibling trip.

"Two Pee's in a Pod"

It was a wild ride.

My sister and I drove down to LA, rented an Airbnb, and took shuttle passes to the event. To be honest, it couldn't have gone any better if we tried.

"Checking In"

You know Moms had to see if we were still alive. She was doing a month vacation in our home country Nicaragua but was definitely there in spirit.

OKAY SO DAY ONE

"BACK TO IT"

Babysis and I arrived and immediately got a lay of the land. It was cool, bunch of different tent style stages along with food courts and some rides.

To be honest I wouldn't reccomend Coachella unless you have a form of V.I.P. just my opinion.

You felt like cattle with all those people in general admission and no guidance provided by staff, even Disneyland has the people that waves wands to show you were to go.

Nevertheless we had an amazing time, because of the amazing performances.

"FKJ"

Okay let's take a second.

FKJ was my #2 after Frank Ocean if you don't know his art I'd highly recommend a listen, truly beautiful.

He brought out his wife, Bas, a few more friends and even made a song on spot with the audience, truly brilliant.

"BAS"

I had a great time, then to end it.

"BAD BUNNY"

Man Bad Bunny just didn't stop, and neither did we.

As a spanish man myself this was amazing to see and for sure was something to cross off my bucket list.

"In God We Trust"
"Die With A Smile"

Day two was way more chill than the first. More hanging out and less stage to stage presence. All around a lot of fun in the sun.

Day three was bittersweet. Frank Ocean didn't show up but I randomly saw Steve Lacey preform so we will take what we can get.

"Saying Bye"

In the end if the line up is worth it (and if they show up) give it a try. I can say I went once, and now I won't go back until I'm invited.

Happy Coachella!
