Short, simple and so very sweet.

I wanted to take some time to congratulate and praise my darling baby sister on her college journey. Her first semester as a freshman is coming to an end, and being a part of the transition process allows me a space to share my perspective.

Alexa you're doing it, enjoy and be proud everyday.

For those of you who are unaware, my baby-sister was the first person in the lineage of our family to attend a university straight out of high school. Although it doesn't seem like a big deal in average American culture, in our family being accepted and attending college was a huge experience to look forward to. Throughout the pick ups, drop offs, surprise visits and late night calls I'm happy to say you're thriving in your college experience.

Here are just a few shots I took when we first moved you in. Everyone enjoy and remember to work toward something that matters to you, my sister reminds me everyday.

These next two shots were taken around the end of the semester as my sister has grown.

She may seem the same to you but I recognize so much growth, and that's what life is all about.
